Nyle Barker
Director
A Business Finance and Economics graduate from the University of East Anglia, Nyle started his career as a trainee accountant before moving to Aviva.
Rising to the position of Senior Surety Underwriter, Nyle rapidly rose to a highly trusted position, gaining extensive experience and forming long-lasting relationships with industry stakeholders.

During the four years prior to joining DRS in 2024, Nyle held the position of Senior Surety Underwriter at First Underwriting.
Building a highly successful team with Niki Setchell, they secured new A-rated insurance capacity and reinsurance placement.
Niki Setchell
Director
Niki joined Aviva in 2005, holding various positions before being appointed Corporate & Specialty Risk Senior Surety Underwriter in 2014.
His first-class client skills saw him managing a large and varied client portfolio, including some of the UK’s leading construction companies, as well as expanding both the client and broker bases for Aviva within the Surety market.

In 2020, Niki took the position of Head of Surety at First Underwriting. It is here where his successful business partnership with Nyle Barker flourished.
Together they secured capacity and implanted a strategy that led this Managing General Agency (MGA) to achieve GWP well ahead of plan.
